Meet David & Avarelle

David and Avarelle are owners and partners of Keller Williams OC Coastal Realty in San Clemente. Keller Williams is now the Second largest real estate company in America. At Keller Williams in San Clemente, we have grown from 10 to 180+ agents and are now the largest single office in San Clemente. In 2009, David was named Operating Partner for KWOCC.

Avarelle is a real estate attorney and broker. Avarelle earned her B.A. degree from UCSD and her J.D. degree from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Avarelle has been an attorney for over 26 years and a real estate broker for over 22 years. Prior to becoming a full-time real estate broker, Avarelle was a real estate attorney for O’Melveny & Myers in Orange County. Avarelle’s clients have included home buyers and home sellers, investors, lending institutions and builders. Avarelle’s broad legal and real estate background enhances her ability to serve her clients. Real estate related legal services are always provided free of charge to our real estate clients.

David is proud to have been named Realtor of the Year by the Orange County Association of Realtors. David served twice as President of the Southern California Multiple Listing Service Corporation, one of the largest MLS providers in the world, serving over 55,000 subscribers in Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties. David is a past President of the 14,000-member Orange County Association of Realtors. David has also been honored to be a Director of the 200,000-member California Association of Realtors and the 1,100,000-member National Association of Realtors. In 2008 David became a founding director of CARETS (California Real Estate Technology Services) a company that will bring all the MLS data in California together to better serve consumers and Realtors. David is an advisor to Saddleback College relating to curriculum for the college’s real estate program, and has taught an orientation program on behalf of the Association of Realtors to new agents. David is also a contributing editor for the Realtor News, a publication for the members of the Orange County Association of Realtors. In 2003, David’s book, the PLAIN LANGUAGE DICTIONARY OF REAL ESTATE was published.

David attended UCSD and the Law School at USC. From 1997 to 2004 David was the #1 agent at Century 21 in San Clemente. Prior to that, David was associated with Tarbell Realtors for 7 years and was their top high-end agent. David is consistently honored for the outstanding service that he provides to his clients. Orange Coast Magazine’s FIVE STAR AWARD in 2010 and 2011.  Orange Coast Magazine conducts an annual survey of all homebuyers in Orange County.  Based on the results of the survey and the review of a blue ribbon panel of real estate professionals, 3% of the real estate agents in Orange County receive the FIVE STAR designation.  The criteria are customer service, communication, finding the right home, integrity, negotiation, marketing the home, market knowledge, closing preparation and overall satisfaction.

David was awarded the REALTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD from the Orange County Association of Realtors in recognition of outstanding service and contribution to the community and to the real estate profession in 2002.

David was awarded the FAIR HOUSING LEADERSHIP AWARD in 2005 by the Fair Housing Council of Orange County for David’s achievements in making home ownership affordable and achievable for low-income residents of Orange County.

The Senate of the State of California commended David for his service to the real estate profession and to the Orange County Association of Realtors for his work as President of the Board of Realtors in 2001.  The Senate of the State of California also presented David with a CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION in 2005 for his work as a Director of the Orange County Association of Realtors.

The California State Assembly awarded David a CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION and a CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION in 2005 for his service as a Director of the Orange County Association of Realtors.
